Pray for Boldness!
In Acts 4:29-30 believers who had been persecuted lifted up their voice in prayer and asked God for the ability to preach the Word with even more boldness.
They didn't cower under pressure. They did not relent. They were not afraid but stood firm on their mandate. To preach the Gospel. They challenged their persecutors to judge for themselves whether it was right to obey them or the living God (Acts 4:19).
Today, our mandate is the same: 'Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.' Matthew 28:19-20
If you want boldness to preach the Gospel, to be fearless before men and to be effective for Jesus, then pray what they did in Acts 4.
'And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.' Acts 4:29-30
During Saturday's meeting, after the Word was preached, we got into groups of 5-6 and prayed corporately. We prayed and sang unto God and believe He is working behind the scenes to open doors, still the Avenger and break strongholds and bring forth your righteousness as the light of dawn and our justification as the noonday sun (Psalm 37:6).
We look forward to more amazing meetings this weekend.
